Melek ÖZEN
Born in 1976, Melek Özen graduated from the Department of International Relations at Dokuz Eylül University in 2000.
She began her professional career in Human Resources and held various positions at Türk Tuborg, including Compensation & Benefits Manager, HR Processes Manager, and Human Resources Manager. She later joined Ferrero Türkiye, where she served as Human Resources Manager between 2012 and 2015 and as Human Resources Director from 2015 to 2018. During this period, she assumed strategic responsibilities in organizational development, talent management, performance management, leadership development, and employee engagement, making significant contributions to the companies' growth and transformation initiatives.
In April 2018, Melek Özen joined the Çimentaş Group as Human Resources Director, a position she continues to hold today. In this role, she is responsible for developing and implementing the Group's human resources strategies, as well as overseeing organizational development, leadership and talent development, employee experience, corporate culture, and corporate communications across the Group companies. She leads initiatives aimed at strengthening employee engagement, enhancing performance, fostering a strong corporate culture, and building sustainable human resources systems.
In addition to her corporate responsibilities, Özen has actively contributed to the advancement of the Human Resources profession through her involvement in industry organizations. She previously served as a Board Member of PERYÖN Aegean Region, where she played an active role in initiatives supporting the professional development of HR practitioners.
Alongside her experience in the cement industry and multinational companies, Özen is committed to supporting education and social development. She serves as a Board Member of the Çimentaş Education and Health Foundation (ÇESVAK), where she also chairs the Human Resources Committee and serves on several other committees.
Melek Özen is married and is the mother of a child who graduated from Işıkkent Education Campus.
